ABOUT WOMTOUR
Word Of Mouth Tour Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit theatre company whose mission is to inspire all audiences by creating original and collaborative works of art. We promote new works by young playwrights. We create an atmosphere that nurtures new ideas and a modern style of theatre. We do things a bit different, speak a different language and create a different way of experiencing a performance.
WHO ARE WE?
Louis Farber is an actor, a writer and the Artistic Director of Word Of Mouth Tour Company. He graduated with a BA in Theatre from Arizona State University in December of 2007. Louis has worked as an actor professionally in Boston, Los Angeles and New York. In August 2008 Louis performed in SHOTS a love story at the 12th Annual New York International Fringe Festival. He was the tour manager and performed with the Boston Flamenco Ballet in their productions of Don Quixote, Cyrano De Bergerac and The Three Musketeers. Louis has extensive experience and training in fight choreography and has choreographed fights for over 14 productions. He has also taught acting, stage combat, and improvisation for C.Y.T Phoenix. He has directed original works that include Journalistic Integrity by Greg Farber, Moonlight Sonata and Pigs Feet by Wind Woods and The Purple Dragon, which he co-wrote with Jeremiah Clay Neal. Louis is thrilled to be embarking on this endeavor with Jeremiah and the rest of the WOM family. He believes that the there is a strong need for excellent programming geared towards teenage youth here in the valley and is excited to aid in the production of challenging new works that spark discussion and energize action within the youth-artist community.
Jeremiah Clay Neal is a performing artist originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. Early years consisted mainly of performing with the family entertainers. He began writing music as soon as his fingers were strong enough to learn the guitar from his father. In the meantime, he was busy building make-shift drum sets in his room out of comic books, his mothers tins, and an old helmet. He began writing plays working for a local church in 2001. Short comic sketches soon evolved into full-length plays, theatrical drumming events, and full-scale musicals. After receiving a BA in Communications from UNLV in 2004, Neal became a local teaching artist for Cirque Du Monde working with at-risk youth in the Las Vegas valley in collaboration with Cirque Du Soleil. In the fall of 2005, Neal began a 3-year masters program at Arizona State University in Theatre for Young Audiences. In 2006 his work on the play Somewhere Else was presented at the American Alliance for Theatre in Education conference in Washington D.C. and the International Art in Society Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. Neal became one of the founding members for Playwrights on Campus and his collaborative work continued in 2007 with Breaking the Silence, a play written for youth in recovery facilities, was produced by the Prism Theatre in Tempe, AZ and later performed at the AATE conference in Vancouver the summer of 2008. Neal’s adaptation of a book by Dan Gutman, The Kid Who Ran for President was produced at The Rainbow Company Children’s Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada last year and an original musical called U:Bug:Me will receive a world premiere this summer at The Coterie Theatre in Kansas City, MO. In 2009, Neal founded Word of Mouth Theatre Company with his friend Louis and he thinks good things are in store.
